ONE DAY I WAS IN THE CURRICULUM CENTER AT SOUTHWESTERN BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY WAITING TO SPEAK TO A FRIEND. AS I WAS WAITING, I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THE BOOKS ON THE DRAMA SHELVES AND CAME ACROSS A BOOK ON CLOWNING. I CHECKED THIS BOOK OUT AND TOOK IT HOME TO REVIEW. THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN AS A TRAINING TOOL FOR YOUTH CLOWNING. THE MORE I READ, THE MORE CONVINCED I BECAME THAT CLOWNING WASN’T SOMETHING JUST FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH; BUT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT COULD BE USED WITH CHILDREN.

THUS WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE “ALL THUMBS” MINISTRY. THIS MINISTRY IS A MINISTRY FOR BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE 3RD GRADE AND UP. WE TEACH THEM PUPPETRY AS WELL AS CLOWNING.

Our desire is to teach the kids how to share the good news about jesus in a fun nonthreatening way. Our prayer is that through this ministry people will accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and grow in their faith.

Children may try out for this ministry by attending our bootcamps typically held in the fall of each year.
